Simon Barber has extensive development experience in Flash, Flex and Java. Simon is a leader in the Flash and Flex community in South Africa. In 2005 he was approached by Wiley Publishing in the USA to co-author Professional Flex 2. This in turn helped kick start his fledging company ThoughtFaqtory of which he is currently Chief Software Architect and Director. Simon has worked for leading international companies in the health insurance, finance and government sectors, including social networking projects. Simon currently resides in Cape Town, South Africa.
